- 12 oz pasta (penne or macaroni works best)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup mustard
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Optional: chopped pickles, bacon bits, additional cheese for topping
Instructions
- Start by boiling a large pot of water that has been salted.
- Once the water boiling, add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet to medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and cook until translucent.
- Next, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Heat the heavy cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Once warmed, gradually whisk in the cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth. You can season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, beef mixture, ketchup, mustard, and cheese sauce.
- Then mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
- Transfer the pasta mixture to your greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
