Ingredients

  • 10 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 sweet onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups of frozen peas and carrots that have been thawed
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Cut 1 1/2 cups of cooked chicken breast into small cubes
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. According to package directions Cook noodles al dente.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet on medium heat.
  3. Add onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, peas, and carrots to the mixture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook for 3 minutes or until onions are soft and translucent.
  6. Stir in flour until combined.
  7. Then pour in chicken broth and heavy cream and bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce to a simmer.
  9. Stir occasionally until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  10. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet along with the chicken.
  11. Add more salt and pepper according to taste and serve up hot. Enjoy!
