For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Creamy Mashed Potatoes:

  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
  1. Add olive oil to a large skillet and let it heat over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the steak pieces in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  3. After that, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic.
  4. Cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  5. Add the butter and cook until it melts and is combined with the garlic.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Remove from heat and set aside.
For the Creamy Mashed Potatoes:
  1. In a large pot, place the cubed potatoes and cover with water. Cook until tender, approximately 15-20 minutes after bringing to a boil.
  2. Then drain the potatoes and return to the pot.
  3. Add milk, butter, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.
  4. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Serve your garlic butter steak bites over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
