For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- 1 lb of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Creamy Mashed Potatoes:
- 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- Add olive oil to a large skillet and let it heat over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak pieces in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- After that, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic.
- Cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Add the butter and cook until it melts and is combined with the garlic.
- Season with salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Remove from heat and set aside.
For the Creamy Mashed Potatoes:
- In a large pot, place the cubed potatoes and cover with water. Cook until tender, approximately 15-20 minutes after bringing to a boil.
- Then drain the potatoes and return to the pot.
- Add milk, butter, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve your garlic butter steak bites over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
